Teyana Taylor Talks Rihanna Beef
The intense beef Twitter between Rihanna and Teyana Taylor has died down but not before Teyana Taylor called into to Hot 97 to talk about the social media feud. Teyana Taylor called Ri Ri a “cyber bully” and we can’t say we don’t agree. Taylor admitted that she doesn’t even know why the Twitter war started. “I’ve been in the studio, minding my business. And one day, which was yesterday, I randomly was on my Instagram page and I had heard that she made a video…and I just thought it was really harsh,” Teyana said. “You got a dude singing “Caught Up In The Rapture of Love” with big hair, a snap-back, and some Jordans on. And I just sung that a week ago. It ain’t no coinkidink,” she said. “She knew what she was doing.”
On why she decided to go so hard:
“I just think that her fans are loud and condone her behavior, and she does this to everybody, and it’s not always fun and games all the time. You do it, you get away with it, you tried me. You clapped and I clapped back. You didn’t think it would go as far as it did, but you can’t do that to everybody.”
Teyana complimented Ri Ri’s music but noted:
“I think she is a cyberbully. I really do. I think she has dope music, I’m not no hater. Dope music is dope music. She’s a pretty girl, but that don’t mean that you can just bully anybody. It don’t work like that.”
