Sources close to Sean Kingston told TMZ that the singer has settled with 22-year-old girl who accused him and his former bodyguards of gang rape back in 2010.
According to the sources, Kingston decided to settle because of his hectic schedule including upcoming tour and new album release. They insist he did not settle because he’s admitting guilt.
The sources also revealed that the singer paid the alleged victim only a fraction of what she was suing for in order to make the lawsuit disappear as quickly as possible. The exact amount was not disclosed.
Just like the criminal charges he beat three years ago, Kingston reportedly felt that he could’ve won this case had it went to trial.
As one source said, “Her story wasn’t consistent. She told various stories throughout her interviews with police. Her friend’s story wasn’t consistent with hers. The medical report had no indications of force.”
As we reported, Kingston acknowledged having sex with the girl — when she was 19 — but said the sex was consensual. The lawsuit is expected to be dismissed shortly.
