The birth places of Nina Simone, Jimi Hendrix and Rosa Parks are set to be restored on a new reality show on the History Channel and PBS.

The remarkable story of the legendary singer, Nina Simone, will be told and recaptured as the show takes audiences on a journey back to her birthplace in Tryon, NC. Before changing her name, she was Eunice Kathleen Waymon, born to Mary Kate Waymon, a Methodist minister and housemaid, and John Divine Waymon, a handyman and business owner.

Since she passed away in 2003, a plan has been set in motion to restore the home where she grew up.

Now the project will be documented by a new reality series.

On the list of projects is also the birth homes of Rosa Parks and Jimi Hendrix, Woodie Guthrie and several others.
