It’s been twenty years since TLC (including the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes) recorded the now classic “Waterfalls.”

And to celebrate that moment in time, the two remaining members, TionneTBoz” Watkins and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas, decided record the song/video again and added Japanese pop star Namie Amuro. That of course meant they effectively replace Left Eye (watch it below).

Needless to say, that hasn’t gone over too well with Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes’ family. Especially her sister, Reigndrop Lopes, who detailed her disappointment to TMZ:

“I did not know about it until a fan posted it online. I mean it would have been nice if they would have given us a head up before being surprised.”

Apparently there’s more friction between the Lopes family and TLC because of the TLC biopic coming out VH1 in the Fall. Reigndrop claims they were the last to know about that project as well.

According to sources, unfortunately, this isn’t the only situation that’s drawing a red flag between the Lopes family and T_C. Apparently they aren’t too enthusiastic about the VH1 TLC biopic (set to be released in the fall) either, claiming that they did not even know about it. Reigndrop stated to 4UMF News that:

“The only way I found out was because a friend of mine was cast as an extra and flew down there and I happened to go up there with her,” she told 4UMF News

Although the family eventually agreed to the film, they’re not really feeling Lil Mama playing the role of Left Eye.

“I didn’t know her to be an actor, and I didn’t know how well she would do portraying Lisa, so I didn’t know how to feel.”
