After being humiliated by her husband via Twitter, the tide has just turned for “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Stewart.
We previously learned that her husband, Kordell Stewart, was divorcing her after two years of marriage the same way she did, from a Tweet. But now after going to court to settle things, a judge awarded Porsha $5,000 per month for the next three months.
The judge is said to have allowed Kordell exclusive use of the home the couple once shared. So Kordell has to ship Porsha’s things directly to her or to a storage facility. In addition to the support he was ordered to pay, he also has to pay for the moving costs too, RadarOnline.com is reporting.
One week after she defended him on a Housewives reunion special against talk that he was ‘too controlling, Porsha was hit the divorce papers much to her surprise.
After the “RHOA” star found out Kordell was divorcing her, she tweeted a picture of them together in happier times.
Porsha said that when she got married it was for life, but that’s not how it all worked out for the star.
“I was totally blindsided, Porsha told Us Weekly. “At the reunion I did feel some kind of way because I did want my husband there with me. I was standing strong representing for my family. But when I found out about the divorce, it was absolutely a surprise.”
Porsha was made aware of the marriage shattering Tweet from her husband by a her sister.
“She said, ‘Have you heard?’ And I’m like, ‘Heard what?’ So I went to Twitter and the first thing I see is, ‘Kordell divorcing Porsha,’” she said. “And I’m like this is just a crazy joke… I found out from Twitter.”
As Kordell happened to be in the next room, she went over to confront him.
“I asked my husband if had he filed,” she said. “Long story short, I just felt very disappointed and let down. When I got married, I meant it for life. I always said I would never get a divorce unless he cheated on me or something like that… I was heartbroken, like I am still right now.”
