4 Tons of Marijuana Seized from Texas Tanker During Routine Traffic Stop

The Texas Department of Public Safety says troopers seized a tanker truck filled with 7,816 lbs of marijuana on April 3, 2013, reports the Huffington Post.
The trooper stopped the tanker near Corpus Christi to perform a visual inspection of the tanker for a routine traffic stop.
45-year-old Paul Anthony Simmons of Robstown, Texas is being held on $1 million bond.
The drugs have an estimated value of $3.4 million.
