Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant was asked yesterday about Magic Johnson’s support of his son EJ, who went public with his same-sex relationship this week and was captured by TMZ cameras walking hand in hand with his boyfriend.
“Of course Magic is supportive of and loves his son,” Kobe told TMZ in response. “Why should anyone be surprised? What I can’t tolerate is a lack of tolerance.”
Bryant ran afoul of the gay community in 2011 when he referred to a referee as a “f**king f**got.” However, he scolded a fan in February for his negative use of the word “gay.”
The Lakers beat the Dallas Mavericks last night and currently hold the eighth spot in the Western Conference playoff picture.
