An 83-year-old woman was shot and killed by police after the police responded to a 911 call made from her home.
Delma Towler, a Viginia native, was killed around 10pm according to reports. Towler called the police about a suspected burglar in her home.
When police arrived on the scene, Towler was wandering in her backyard holding a gun.
According to police, they question Towler multiple times about her identity but they claim she ignored them which lead to the police shooting her.
Towler's family claimes she was not wearing her glasses or hearing aid when the police which probably prohibited her from hearing the police's questions.
Paramedics tried to revive Towler but she ended up dying at the scene.
