The Los Angeles Lakers star point guard’s face mask that he wore after suffering a broken nose and concussion n the middle of the season, was auctioned off for the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation.

One lucky fan bid $67,100. The opening bid was $250. There were a total of 129 bids.

The mask, a custom made creation, was autographed by the baller before it was put on display.

All money raised will go toward the foundation’s initiative to resolve homelessness in Los Angeles. With nearly 50,000 homeless people living on the streets of L.A., 7,000 to 10,000 of them are under the age of 24.

Bryant said that wearing the mask felt like a sauna on his face and joked back in March that he planned to auction off the mask to “see if anybody’s dumb enough to buy that sweaty mask.”
