You already know they have fancy footwork on the football field, but who knew football players could be so talented on the dance floor?

Green Bay Packer Donald Driver proves that the NFL still dominates in the ballroom on “Dancing With the Stars.” Driver, 37, a 13-year veteran who’s played his entire career with the Packers at wide receiver, is among the leaders on the current season of “Dancing” thanks to a few great moves, including a memorable Team Paso Doble.

For Driver, who was part of Green Bay’s Super Bowl season in 2011, “Dancing” turned out to be an experience not that much different from his day job.

“For whatever reason, when the cameras come on, it’s time to have fun. It’s game time. It seemed like I was playing a football game,” he told Greenbayhub.com.

“What I want people to know is not just that I’m a great football player, but also I can ballroom dance. And not even that, but I’m compassionate, a great husband, a great father and a great Christian man. “

Wife Betina and children Cristian, Christina and Charity traveled to L.A to be with him. His kids have even learned the routines that Driver and professional dance partner Peta Murgatroyd rehearsed during the long sessions to prepare for each week’s routine.

Driver told Greenbayhub.com that a highlight of his “Dancing” experience was spending time with music legend Gladys Knight who was eliminated last week.

“I love being here,” Driver says. “You’re getting to see celebrities that you’d probably never see if I was in Dallas or Green Bay. You get to say “hello” to them and it’s crazy of how big of a fan they are of you. It’s something special.”

But Green Bay fans, have no fear. Driver is planning on returning to Lambeau Field to begin his 14th season in the NFL, regardless of whether he walks off with the trophy.

Former Dallas Cowboys running back Emmit Smith, and former Pittsburgh Steeler Hines Ward are the two NFL players who’ve won it previously, so it’s not that much of a long shot.

“Once it’s all said and done and ‘Dancing With the Stars’ is over, I’m heading back to Dallas, then from there, back to Green Bay,’’ Driver told Greenbayhub.com. “I always said it’s good to visit Hollywood, but it’s not good to stay.’’
