Earth, Wind and Fire has big plans for 2012. They are set to do a huge summer tour and have a new record on the way with a twist – 10 new recordings and classics chosen by their biggest fans – other music acts.

Artists and musicians including The Roots drummer Questlove,, Raphael Saadiq, Lenny Kravitz, Pharrell Williams, Mary J. Blige selected their favorites, and EWF delivered. The result is “Now, Then and Forever.”

The band’s current single, “Guiding Lights,” from their forthcoming LP, is available now.

If that’s not enough for diehard EWF fans, there’s always “The Complete Columbia Masters,” a 16-CD box set of their stunning work for their longtime label, Columbia Records. The set includes reproductions of the original album art and was personally supervised by EWF leader Maurice White. A bonus disc features a rare live performance from Rio De Janeiro and other exclusive recordings. If you need access to EWF 24-7, you can even purchase their app, available for the iPhone.

If you still have an unquenchable jones for EWF, you can catch them on the road this month before they leave to go overseas.
