Position:   Call Center Manager, Travel Services

Overview: Dallas-headquartered, Broadcasting & Internet company, targeting the African-American community, is seeking a mature, versatile & progressive individual who can work in an ever-changing & dynamic environment.The Call Center Manager will be responsible for all aspects of customer service relative to a high volume call center pertaining to large scale travel events - primarily annual cruises. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of customer service with customers, external vendors, cruise line(s) and internal personnel.
  • Manage team leads for Fantastic Voyage, One Love Gospel Cruise and Specialty Cruises.
  • Liaison with team leaders, operatives and third parties to gather information and resolve issues.
  • Coach, motivate and develop call center staff.
  • Work closely with Quality Control Specialist to ensure that CSR training is relevant and timely.
  • Conduct CSR orientations before the marketing of new cruises
  • Maintain accurate cabin inventory for guests, artists and staff and coordinate/communicate room assignments with vendors and/or cruise line(s).
  • Manage the Non-Paying Guest Manifest and ensure its accuracy.
  • Insure registration process for events is working properly; cabin or room inventory is updated on website(s); and registrations are reconciled to vendor manifests.
  • Manage document fulfillment process for travelers.
  • Participate in meetings with staff & vendors to insure all details are finalized.
  • Supervise all details both on-or-off-site during events including registration process; resolution of any guest issues or problems; and maintaining inventory control.
  • Provide service to new and returning customers in order to build & strengthen our relationship with the general public.  Identify trends in a timely manner to enhance the customer experience.
  • Assist with review of event content on www.blackamericaweb.com before launch.
  • Establish process and oversee video & DVD sales/mailings.
  • Evaluate and modify current policies and procedures to ensure appropriate controls, procedures and customer service standards are achieved.
  • Promote quality customer service in compliance with company policy and procedures.
  • Develop and introduce new standards and policies to improve the call center’s efficiency.
  • Manage the daily functions of the Call Center and customer service team with enthusiasm and use leadership role to inspire teamwork and productivity.
  • Serve as backup to the Director of Business Operations - Travel Services.
  • Oversee projects and requests as directed from the President, Senior Management or clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact proactively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Strong written & verbal communications skills, ability to work independently & meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to lead by example and build a high performing team.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks & detailed oriented.
  • Able to meet deadlines while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.

Experience/Education:

  • Minimum of 3 years call center management experience a must.  Cruise operations experience preferred.
  • Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.

Position Available:       Administrative Assistant – Ad Sales

Overview:

 Dallas based broadcasting and internet company targeting the African-American community, parent company of The Tom Joyner Morning Show & BlackAmericaWeb.com, is seeking an experienced individual to assist the Executive Vice President, Sales in the daily operation of the Ad Sales Department.  This person should be well-organized and flexible with extensive experience in Microsoft Office.  Candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast paced corporate environment.  Prior sales & interactive media administration experience preferred.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to Executive, Vice President and Account Executives to assist in all sales efforts of the Company as directed.
  • Assist Executive VP in maintaining a smooth operation between executive office and other departments within the company; corporate and outside contacts.
  • Manage confidential correspondence and coordinate appointments, staff meetings, group events and conference calls.
  • Maintain follow up assignments.
  • Prepare correspondence, documents, mailings and memoranda to internal recipients as well as to clients and other contacts.
  • Arrange and coordinate travel itineraries including air, hotel and ground transportation for Executive Vice President, Account Executives and guests.
  • Prepare expense reports for Executive Vice President.

Requirements: 

  • Highly experienced and skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and Internet applications.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), organizational, and interpersonal skills including the ability to interface with all levels of employees.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of general office equipment including phone, fax and copier.
  • Must be a team player, possess a positive attitude and be able to work under pressure.

Experience/Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience as a sales assistant working for a broadcasting, advertising agency, interactive media agency or rep firm preferred.

Position Available:     Vice President, Radio Operations

Overview:

Dallas based Broadcasting and Internet Company targeting the African-American community is seeking a Vice President, Radio Operations. Candidate will be responsible for the execution of the overall operation, including production, technical & communication aspects, of the Tom Joyner Morning Show. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee operational aspects of the Tom Joyner Morning Show and Tom Joyner’s Right Back at ‘Cha weekend show.
  • Oversee the development and enforce quality control measures for TJMS show content.
  • Oversee the development and enforce quality control measures for all transmissions, show broadcasts, remote broadcasts, and in-studio performances.
  • Monitor output and content from producers and production elements to ensure they meet the standards established in the TJMS plot lines.
  • Oversee and streamline Radio Operations inter and intra department communication and communication with TJMS affiliates.
  • Work in conjunction with the Vice-President of Radio Programming on a daily basis to ensure product goals are being executed.
  • Supervise & evaluate the performance of the Radio Operations staff.
  • Work with Finance department to prepare Annual Radio Operations budget, quarterly forcasts and monthly accrual reports.
  • Meet weekly with Radio Operations team to monitor progress of projects.
  • Approve commercial logs in conjunction with Ad Sales Sr. Management.
  • Travel to Key markets on a monthly basis to assist affiliate programming and engineering departments in on-air execution of the TJMS.
  • Coordinate with Legal Department on issues related to contracts within the Radio Operations department.
  • Oversee the delivery of content during Fantastic Voyage, Family Reunions, Doctor Day and other special programming.

 Requirements:

Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Produce the daily Tom Joyner Morning Show in studio.

  • Liaison between TJMS and major show contributors.
  • Liaison between all departments within Reach Media Inc. and Tom Joyner.
  • Monitor and reconcile daily billboard log.
  • Produce specialty shows including coordination of engineering and on-location set-up.

  • Assist in the production of theme shows with Production Services.
  • Research topics and information for thematic shows.
  • Voice content and/or interview guests as needed.
  • Assemble content using various editing software.
  • Select appropriate music to correspond with the thematic content of each package.
  • Produce content for various correspondents and/or outside talent segments as directed.
  • Maintain producer’s content database.
  • Oversee execution of thematic content on site, on air date.
  • Provide support to other producers as needed.

Position:    Manager, Marketing

Overview:

The Brand Manager will manage positioning, campaigns and tune-in for broadcast and internet at Reach Media Inc., featuring The Tom Joyner Morning Show and cross-platform media brands that include radio, BlackAmericaWeb.com, destination events, community initiatives that directly involve an audience of eight million, as well as sponsorship integration. Candidate must have strong creative and communication skills as well as strategic planning and organization with ability to manage multiple budgets and projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Development of marketing plans, creating modular campaigns that work for consumers, ad sponsors, affiliate relations, local stations, entertainment groups and events and public relations.
  • Work directly with Marketing Director for development of graphic and creative elements, packaging, while developing copy/content, response and follow-up action.
  • Manage new product launch and development for either Reach Media projects or Syndication One programming talent.
  • Develop an annual marketing plan/schedule and budgets.
  • Project management of new promotions/events from participation in idea generation to full execution by working with Executives.
  • Research, develop and distribute presentations for sponsorship/sales use and for Executive proposals.
  • Create copy for Affiliate Relations for one sheets, letters/correspondence and prize fulfillment for various events & contests.
  • Primary contact and manager for promotions; tasks include tracking winners, writing promos and distributing prize fulfillment letters and packages, as well as creating client / sponsor follow-up letters and filling marketing requests.
  • Create “term sheets” for TJMS/Reach projects/promotions and events outlining agreed upon terms for prospective partnerships.
  • Manage creative copy, fulfillment, contesting, new initiatives and logistics.
  • Write and create marketing copy for BlackAmericaWeb.com pages referring to marketing initiatives, promotions and events.
  • Create programming concepts and outline projects and content through presentations and overviews.
  • Write on-air promos for Tom Joyner for marketing promotions (:15’s and: 30’s, as well as guideline points), as well as custom promos and scripts for local affiliates for TJMS promotions.
  • Write and distribute press releases for Tom Joyner Morning Show local efforts.
  • Coordinate events with affiliates (Affiliate Tour) keeping those involved informed with spreadsheets, calendars, contact numbers, etc.
  • Consistently present on management calls to manage marketing efforts and projects (Various programming promotions, Fantastic Voyage, Tom Joyner Family Reunion, other destination events and community initiatives such as Take a Loved One tot he Doctor Day, Back to School and Mistletoe Jam holiday event).  

 

Requirements:           

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Highly organized, able to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects ensuring accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact proactively with staff and managers at all levels.
  • Able to meet deadlines while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or other related field.
  • Two plus years background in media marketing.
  • Full understanding and command of budget management.
