Internet “catfish-ing” has landed a Massachusetts woman in jail.
Police arrested Carissa Hads after discovering she dressed like a teenage boy to have a relationship with a 15-year-old girl.
The 24-year- old woman portrayed herself as “Puryear Wilson,” a 17-year-old father of twin boys. Hads said she traveled to West Virginia last February to meet the girl and admitting that engaged in sexual acts.
The teenage girl later told her mother that she had sexual relations with “Puryear” but that he did not undress, wearing a back brace that covered her chest.
Hads was arrested last May and faces 87 months in prison in addition to registering as a sex offender.
