GENEVA (AP) — Tina Turner is on her way to becoming a Swiss citizen.
The American rock diva has lived in the Zurich suburb of Kuesnacht since the mid-1990s. The local Zuerichsee-Zeitung newspaper said on its website the local council announced its decision to grant the 73-year-old Turner citizenship in an official notice published in Friday’s edition.
The decision still requires formal approval from cantonal (state) and federal authorities.

I envy her if she’s found her happiness. I wish I could leave America because of the how horrible life here has become under leftist rule. But I wouldn’t want to go to another leftist country. Where is there left to go? As I’ve heard from numerous people from Russian, Cuba, China, Africa, and Europe, they left their socialist, communist, marxist, lennonist birth homes to escape to here. they’ve said when they looked across the water, they could see their freedom in America. They’ve often said, at least they had someplace to escape to. As America begins to emmulate the failed countries of the world, it’s often said, where can an American look for freedom If America falls? Nowhere. So I stay here to fight the leftists every step of the way.
