Another young black man’s life was cut short this weekend when he was fatally shot at a North Oak Cliff  Shell station on early Sunday morning.

According to a Dallas police report, two people had an argument around 1:40 a.m. at the gas station, located in the 400 block of S. R.L. Thornton Freeway, near the Interstate 35 Service Road. One tried to shoot the other.

Instead of striking the other person involved in the disturbance, the bullet hit Tynarion ‘Ty’ Warren, 24, of Dallas who had stopped to get gas.  Warren was taken to a hospital by a witness, where he died from the injuries.

The suspect, who is unknown, fled the scene, according to the police report. The station has surveillance cameras but no word yet if anything was captured on tape.

This needless violence has once again left a grieving family behind with more questions than answers.
