Everyone’s favorite redneck uncle, Lee Thompson, lovingly known as “Uncle Poodle” revealed this week that he is HIV-positive,
According to Thompson, his then boy friend was HIV-positive but did not divulge the information with him.
He says, “I later learned he had been HIV positive and was not taking medication and had not bothered to tell me about it.”
Thompson says he was then advised by friends to press charges, his ex- boyfriend is now serving a five-year sentence for not divulging his condition.
Uncle Poodle became aware that he was HIV-positive in May 2012 after testing negative in March of 2012.
Reportedly, TLC producers are deciding if his revelation will lead to a spin-off for Poodle.
