I love Mellody. She is a gorgeous, intelligent, successful black woman who gives back to the community and you want to talk about her voice?!!!! How simple can you be? Women like her deserve to be celebrated.

Mellody’s segments are always interesting and informative. BUT… I really wish she would stop speaking like a 20 year old valley girl – or as they call it these days with “vocal fry” or “creaky voice.” I must make every effort to concentrate on what is being said rather than the creaky tone of her voice, and often I fail – I just give up and turn the radio down until the segment is over. Her voice tone is unprofessional and completely distracts from the information she is relaying which makes it seem less than reliable.
I beg you Mellody, find a vocal coach!!
