Over the weekend, Matthew Phelps proposed to his partner Ben Schock in the place where they had their first date.
Phelps, a U.S. Marine Corps captain is the first gay man to propose in the White House.
A photo of Phelps on bended knee went viral over the weekend receiving massive support with over 2,000 Facebook likes and 250 shares.
The couple says they are “blown away by the amazing love and support we have received.”
For their first date, Phelps and Schock attended the LGBT Pride Month Reception together this past June.

This is sick and I am tired of it. Since when did being gay become the black thing. Just because our President supports gay marriage doesn’t mean we as African Americans have to drop our morals and support it also. It is a diviant sex act and belongs behind closed doors where my children can’t see it.
Getting that upset over over gay people means you need therapy.
