Former Pittsburgh Steelers player Hines Ward has gone from the gridiron to the “Dancing With the Stars” set to a court room. Ward is being accused of not supporting a child he allegedly fathered.
Melanie Smith filed a lawsuit in a Georgia court earlier this month claiming the Superbowl champion is the father of her one year old daughter. Some of the information from the legal documents state smith wants Hines Ward to take responsibility as the father and start paying some child support.
Melanie Smith also said if Ward doesn’t readily admit he is the biological father of her child, she wants a blood test performed to confirm the child’s paternity.
A judge has yet to make a judgement in the case.
