Scientists have suggested that there are ties between testicular cancer and pregnancy hormones.
Oncologist Dr. Mark Pomerantz told reporters that the beta human chorionic gonadotropin, the hormone used to detect pregnancy can also indicate signs of testicular cancer.
Doctors strongly advise men to conduct regular self-exams by feeling for lumps which are initially painless. Testicular cancer has a high survival rate if it is treated in its early stages.
