Jay-Z, Beyonce Lose Bid to Trademark Blue Ivy’s Name

Beyonce and Jay-Z have lost their bid to trademark daughter Blue Ivy’s name, reports ABC News.

A judge rejected the couple’s request because an event planning company in Boston has been using the name since 2009.

Beyonce reportedly wanted to open up a children’s boutique with her daughter’s moniker.

Blue Ivy will be celebrating her first birthday on January 7.

Just being wealthy and fabulous doesn’t always mean you’ll get all your requests granted. Not sure why they even wanted to venture down this road anyway.. There are probably thousands of girls and boys, men and women with the first name blue.
