He later became an expert of international money policy after visiting Sudan to establish a central bank. He garnered attention from a finance article written for a local journal.
Dr. Brimmer only served eight of his14 year-term on the Federal Reserve Board. He returned to Harvard Business School to work on the faculty. He started his own consulting firm, Brimmer & Company, and also took out time to study overseas in India.
Dr. Andrew Felton Brimmer, Jr. died on Sunday, October 14, 2012. He was 86 years old.
I am truly educated and enlighted by these Black History facts daily. I have gained extra pride in my Black race from these facts. With self esteem and education we CAN accomplish everything.
