Responses poured in within just one day from all over the world. Gigi’s Facebook and Twitter pages became filled with messages and requests from suitors.
Gigi posted her reaction on Facebook: “where do all these people come from? Jerusalem? Ethiopia? Istanbul? Ridiculous.”
One particular suitor claiming to be a Brazilian Algae mountain climber posted on Gawker.com that he was willing to do anything to connect with the billionaire’s daughter.
“I think this girl is gorgeous and as I love women I am willing to fly to HK to meet with her. Can you please let me know how to arrange a meeting with them?”
In another press interview Gigi addressed her father’s proposition describing it as “quite entertaining.”
Gigi has not publicly confirmed or denied her marriage or her sexuality. She has, however acknowledged the issue of homosexuality.
“I’m not afraid to admit anything. But I do want to respect my parents,” she told a newspaper. “It’s still an uncomfortable issue for many people.”
