Mortaza would not indicate if the individual refs fired are in fact the same refs who made the bad call. But, he did provide more details into the actions that eventually cost the refs their jobs.
"It was for everything from not facing the camera when making the call to blatantly missed calls like the one last night," Mortaza explained. "At our level, being in our infancy, we appreciate our credibility and the integrity of the game is on the line," he said. "If we appreciate it, I’m not sure why the NFL can’t appreciate it."
The NFL released a statement on Tuesday affirming that they were standing by their decision to not overturn the touchdown. However, they did admit that the play should have been flagged for Golden Tate’s offensive pass interference.
I could see why they were not doing their jobs right with the LFL. How can you call a penalty, if you are looking at what the players were wearing, instead of what was going on?
