The Real Husbands of Hollywood” – the 2011 “BET Awards” vignettes starring Kevin Hart, Jermaine Dupri, Bobby Brown, Nelly and others – will premiere on the network in 2013 as a “semi-scripted” reality series – with new husbands.
Nick Cannon (married to Mariah Carey) will star in the series with Robin Thicke (husband of Paula Patton), Boris Kodjoe (husband of Nicole Ari Parker) and Duane Martin (married to Tisha Campbell-Martin).
Like the “BET Awards” vignettes, the show will “spoof every fill-in-the-blank Wives franchise” by following the men’s lives as husbands of big stars, the network announced.
The program will also include return appearances by Hart, Nelly and Anthony Anderson, as well as actors Faizon Love and J.B. Smoove.
