An exotic dancer who has been accused of spending more than $24,000 worth of federal aid on plastic surgery and tricking out has been sentenced on an earlier conviction of food stamp fraud, WPTV reports.
Brenda Charlestain was sentenced on Thursday to 1 1/2 years in federal prison for her crimes.
Charlestain, 28, of Greenacres, Fla., testified during her sentencing that the $9,187 worth of cosmetic enhancements, the $1,100 sound system, and other expensive items were gifts from men she met as a dancer at strip clubs in West Palm Beach and Miami.

Let me see if I understand this, Ms. Charlestain was sentenced to 18 months in a federal prison for welfare fraud? To me, she is being punished for what we value in this country: sex, crime and greed. We produce consumers in this country, and she was “using what her mama gave her” to get ahead. Come on, 28 years old and now a felon. Hopefully she will get out and use this “5 minutes” of fame to get paid. There is plenty of stupid tv to go around.

I get the joke, haha, but 18 months is pretty steep considering, we have a former president walking around for war crimes and will never do a day. This woman was clearly a product of this society we live in that devalues human capital, and she used her “body” regardless to how it looks or sounds, to get ahead. Also, it sounds more like an “election year” example was made on her behalf. She should use this 5 minutes of fame and try to make some real dough. There are plenty of “reality” shows that would love this kind of thing. Welcome to Jungle!!!!
