I’m 58 years old and I remember the remarks made concerning my afro but none made about someone’s processed hair. I wonder when we as a community will start promoting us rather than conforming us. Major celebrities like TJMS (I respect them the highest) have a bald head and years past that would have been a blythe on whether they would have been successful or not. Dreads and braids should not be discriminated against and although I must say that you must discuss how it will not be easy going. I do not think education institutions should be the judge of whether this is appropriate or not.
