A woman in the audience of funny man Eddie Griffin threw her drink on him after he joked about lesbians. The comedian responded with an “air-hump,” she contends.
Now Fiona Walsh, who is a lesbian, is claiming sexual assault.
As previously reported, the whole event happened at Tommy T’s Comedy Club in Pleasanton, Calif. last week. All was going well until he decided to single Walsh and her partner out because of their sexual orientation.
Walsh claims Griffin pointed to her and said, “You’re a lesbian. All you need is a good man … I’ll volunteer my services. You won’t be needing any strap-on’s or vibrators with me.”
But he took it a step further and brought his crotch too close.
“He started to pump his hips into my face,” she said. “I felt sexually assaulted and I wanted him to stop, then I threw the drink at him to defend myself.”
She then says Griffin hopped off stage and got onto the table.
“Before I could get away from him, he poured a water bottle on my head and threw it at me,” claims Walsh.
She’s seeking an apology and compensation for public humiliation.
The front row is not always the best seat in the house, especially in a comedy club, and most especially for those who tend to wear their feelings on their sleeve. Unless you want to unwittingly become part of the act, stay in the back in a dark corner.

Not really sure what happened, but when you go to a comedy show, you can expect just about anything to happen. I’m not defending Eddie if he really put his manhood in her face, but people really need to stop trying to get a “PAYOUT” for every darn thing that happens…
Why go to a comedy club if you are going to be offended and sit up front is asking for it. The only time I wasn’t in the front was at a D.L. show but I still wouldn’t be offended.
Just like anyone else who goes to these comedy shows. If you don’t want to be picked on don’t sit up front. Also Eddie talks about lebians at every show why should this one be different because you showed up? Get a grip.
