April is National Autism Awareness Month and for parents living with a child diagnosed with something on the autism spectrum, life can be tough.
D.L. Hughley’s son Kyle was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome at the age of three, however, he says detecting it early allowed him to get the help he needed.
“The earlier you get them diagnosed and you get them on the path to having them, you know, deal with their diagnosis and having specialist[s] and people work with them… the better their life will be,” explained Hughley. Joking, “Like my son is now hiring hookers.”
