Looks like Lauryn Hill will be dishing out an expensive Christmas gift without the giving spirit!

TMZ reports that the singer’s former trombone player is suing her for not getting paid. Hill hired Matthew Harnett to record songs with her while on tour while but she soon fired him without paying him.

Being sued alongside Hill is her touring manager and touring company.  Last summer, Harnett joined the L-Boogie team for live recording sessions. It went so well that he was asked to come on board and tour in the fall.

In documents, Harnett says he charged them an “industry standard rate” for the sessions and signed a 10-week tour contract but didn’t receive pay for either.

The suit states that Harnett should have received half of what his contract said including an extra $4,000 in studio cash. In total, he is suing for $11,521.60 for damages.
