J. Cole was performing at The Meadows Music & Arts Festival on Saturday in Queen, New York, when he told the crowd that the performance would be his last for a while.
“Before I get outta here. This my last show for a very long time,” he said. Fans screamed “No” after the announcement.
Cole didn’t offer up an explanation for the tour hiatus, leaving many fans to speculate that he’s taking a break for personal reasons. Or maybe he needs time to record the follow-up to his platinum-selling “2014 Forest Hills Drive” album. It’s been almost two years since his last project.
In related news, a day after announcing his tour hiatus, Cole’s Instagram account was hacked, and in a tweet, the hacker left an insensitive message about the robbing incident Kim Kardashian was involved in while in Paris this week. “Kim Kardashian really pulling a publicity stunt smh she pretending she got robbed,” read the tweet.
