NBC has purchased “Big of Me,” a half-hour comedy from producers Will Packer and Eva Longoria, and created/written by Lauren Iungerich (MTV’s “Awkward”), reports Deadline.com.

The story follows two women from different walks of life who start an unlikely friendship after their mutual husband dies.

The project hails from Universal TV, where Packer’s Will Packer Prods. and Longoria’s UnbeliEVAble Entertainment have deals. The two also partnered last year on a comedy project about two women for NBC, the multi-camera “Bonita & Mechelle.”

Packer’s resume includes eight No. 1 films at the box office, including both “Ride Along” and “Think Like a Man” franchises, as well as “No Good Deed,” “Takers,” “Stomp the Yard” and “Obsessed.” His next film, “Almost Christmas,” comes out Nov. 11 from Universal Pictures.

Longoria recently executive produced the NBC comedy “Telenovela,” in which she also starred, and Lifetime’s “Devious Maids,” which has just been cancelled.
