2016 MTV Video Music Awards - Show

Drake held back nothing last night at the 2016 Video Music Awards. The 6 God got a little emotional while presenting longtime rumored bae, Rihanna, with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

“We love the music which could change styles from album to album,” the rapper said. “We love the videos which change their artistic vision from year to year. But most of all, we love the woman who hasn’t changed since day one.”

And then he sent social media into a frenzy with the words everyone’s been waiting to hear.

“She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old,” the 29-year-old continued. “She’s one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I’ve looked up to her even though she’s younger than me.”

The love didn’t stop there. Hours later, Drizzy took to Instagram to share an adorable selfie of him kissing the “Work” singer on the head. In the caption he wrote:

“This is a night for us all to be thankful for what you have done for us! You have affected so many of our lives in the best way possible. Tonight we celebrate you! @badgalriri”

Meanwhile, the two were also spotted leaving the VMAs together last night.

Can they just make it official already? See the photos below:
