It’s been an up and down week in the music world. Here’s a Black Beat recap of all the latest music headlines trending for the week of August 19th, 2016.

1. Kevin Hart

2. Desiigner @ The Blitz 2016

3. Drake Drops New Music

The Canadian bred rapper is again making headlines this time premiering some new music for fans in Detroit. This was the same show Drake brought out Eminem in which he took a bow to the king of rap? Something like that. Check out the snippet of the new drake song here.

4. Finally! Frank Ocean Drops An Album

Boys apparently due cry and that’s probably because Frank Ocean hasn’t dropped an album in four years. After false rumors, apple press leaks, and failed releases. Frank Ocean finally dropped an album but its not what everyone expected. Frank released a ‘Visual Album’ on Apple Music with 45 minutes of awkward video showing Frank building something. Reports say that this is just part of the release and he plans to release another album this weekend. We’ll see about that, check out the visual album endless here.

5. Lloyd Makes A Comeback

He’s back and better than ever. R&B crooner Lloyd released Tru, a single off of his upcoming album. After years on the back burner and failed label deals he premieres his music video for Tru. Check it out here.

6. Malachiae Brings Sexy Back

Atlanta’s very own Malachiae Warren gives us a follow up to his hit single Minute Made off of his EP with a brand new music video for Do 2 U. You can check out the video here.
