Grambling State University President Willie Larkin has officially resigned according to KSLA.

According to KSLA, he turned in his resignation at the University of Louisiana Board of Supervisors meeting which took place on the campus of Louisiana Tech.

Larkin told the board, “I have enjoyed the opportunity to lead this venerable university. Grambling State University will succeed, and it will survive.” I will always be a cheerleader for this institution. I came here by choice, and I had an opportunity to lead. I think the university is headed in the right place.”

He says the decision is for his family, explaining, “I have 4 wonderful grandsons in Minnesota, and they need their grandpa to come and spend some time with them.”
