A woman has come forward out of nowhere to claim a piece of Prince’s estate.

Darcell Johnston says she is a beneficiary in Prince’s probate case, alleging she is the late musician’s long-lost half-sister – sharing the same mother, but different father.

According to court documents, Johnston filed her case on Sunday, claiming that she is an interested party in the estate and consents “to the appointment of Bremer Trust, National Association as Special Administrator for the Estate.”

TMZ reports that Prince’s family only learned of her existence a few days ago.

Prince didn’t have a will, so by Minnesota law his estate would be split equally among his six surviving siblings.

Newly confirmed special administrator of the estate, Bremer Trust, will investigate the legitimacy of Darcell’s claim, although the court will have final say, according to TMZ.
