Jacque Reid goes Inside Her Story with screenplay writer Tracy Oliver, one of the writers for Barbershop: The Next Cut along with Kenya Barris (Blackish).
“I was in high school when Barbershop 1 came out so I never imagined that this opportunity would come about. It started out with a conversations with Kenya. We both have the same manager and were both interested in writing it…we pitched our idea to the studio and they liked ours the most. I still can’t even believe it, going to a theater and seeing my name in the credits,” Oliver said.
