Oxygen’s new reality series “Like a Boss” follows the professional and private lives of executive assistants working for several big names, including the show’s executive producer Nick Cannon.

Cameras follow Cannon’s assistant Amber Grimes, as well as Devin Simpson, assistant to successful real estate agent Blair Myers; Rian Parish, assistant to popular radio personality Big Tigger; and Drekia Glenn assistant to music executive Abou “Bu” Thiam.

Each of these worker bees aspire to the baller status enjoyed by their employers, and viewers will see that they are not above paying whatever dues are necessary to get there – from washing cars to changing sheets, to doing homework, to administering spray tans.

As seen in the clip, the bosses genuinely want their assistants to shine and live out their own dreams, but it also means that they are being groomed to eventually leave their positions for a better opportunity. Oh…the irony.

“The gift is allowing somebody to learn from you and grow so they can have their own wings and be their own bosses one day,” affirmed Bu at the TCA Winter Press Tour in January. “It is a tough position to be in, but it is what it is. It comes with the territory.”

“Like a Boss” premieres Tuesday, March 29 at 9 p.m. on Oxygen.
