Is Wendy Williams the New Joan Rivers?

According to Entertainment Weekly, Williams is set to host a red carpet fashion commentary series called “Wendy’s Style Squad.”

It’s set to kick right around the corner with a wrap-up of the styles worn during the Grammy Awards.

EW says the first one-hour installment of “Wendy’s Style Squad” will feature a panel of fashion experts and co-hosts including Bevy Smith, Lloyd Boston, and Robert Verdi.

As of now, a total of six Wendy’s Style Squad episodes are slated to air during the 2016 awards season. We’re talking the BET Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and the Billboard Music Awards.

We think we see where this is going. This is obviously Wendy’s move to replace the late Joan Rivers as the new red carpet queen. Hey, why not. Somebody’s gotta do it.

News of Williams’ fashion commentary series follows last year’s shakeup on E!’s Fashion Police after co-hosts Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne departed the series.

“Wendy’s Style Squad” premieres Feb. 16, at 9 p.m. ET on BET.
