Erica Dixon is hoping for a serious dose of peace and quiet, now that she’s not returning to VH1’s fifth season of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. In an exclusive interview with WetPaint.com, the mommy and former medical assistant revealed her departure from the reality show.

“No,” she told the publication when asked about her return. “You won’t see me on this season of Love & Hip Hop [Atlanta]… People don’t understand — they just think it’s all this glitz and glamour because you’re on TV, but there’s so much that comes with it. It’s mentally draining and physically draining and people just don’t get that you know? And with me being a mom, I still have to put on face when it comes to her no matter what I’m going through.. I can honestly say I’m at peace and I’m happy,” she noted.

Dixon has been a part of the cast since Season One, with her storyline focused around her roller coaster relationship with rapper, Lil Scrappy. The pair share a 10-year-old daughter, Emani Richardson.

Last season, after breaking off their short lived engagement, the couple were in a bitter child support case with Dixon seeking consistent funds from the former G-Unit South artist. In August 2015 she filed a “family violence” protective order, barring Lil Scrappy from being within 100 yards of her for the next year– citing assault while filming LHHATL.

For those of you wondering what’s next for Dixon, she has a pretty full plate.

In addition to completing her seven book children’s book series, she also plans to write a memoir and continue running her Klass 6 Hair extensions line.

Mimi Faust, Karlie Redd, K. Michelle, Rasheeda Buckner-Frost and Joseline Hernandez are expected to return in the upcoming season.
