Chris Brown is not letting assault allegations against him stand.
According to TMZ, the singer is expected to file a defamation lawsuit against Liziane Gutierrez, a woman who accusing Brown of assault.
The suit stems from reports of Gutierrez telling Las Vegas authorities that Brown punched her in the face while attending a private party at his Palms Hotel suite last month (December). Although Gutierrez claimed that Brown assaulted her after she was caught using her cell phone to snap a picture of the entertainer, Brown’s reps released a statement to Vibe disputing what she said.
“Ms. Gutierrez was escorted out of the private after party at the Palms Casino Resort for being disruptive and out of control,” the statement reads. “Once she was in the hallway, while waiting for Chris Brown’s security to bring out her phone, she had a total meltdown-throwing her purse to the ground and claiming that she “could buy everyone in the hotel”-as witnessed by numerous people waiting to get into the party. The Palms Casino Resort security also saw her wild behavior via hotel security cameras and immediately came up to the hallway to escort her out of the hotel.”
Gutierrez’s drama with Brown marks the latest incident involvement between her and a celebrity. In August, a video capturing Gutierrez’s reaction to being denied by pop singer Jason Derulo’s entourage was obtained by TMZ.
In the clip, Gutierrez is seen outside yelling expletives as Derulo’s Sprinter van pulled off without her after the “Want You to Love” me singer appeared at The Argyle in Hollywood.
Taking note of the Derulo incident, Brown’s reps stated it represents “a pattern of behavior.”
