In the most bizarre news you’ve heard all week, Steve Harvey may host the Miss Universe pageant again next year.

A source told ET that the Family Feud host signed a major multi-year deal days before his now infamous screw-up aired and it looks like he’ll be getting paid more than any other host. The partnership is said to be for at least three years but could last for as long as six or seven.

WME/IMG, the media agency that purchased the Miss Universe pageant from Donald Trump and also represents Steve, seems to have no issue with the job he did hosting Miss Universe and are welcoming him back for several years to come.

During an appearance on the The Jim Rome Show, Mark Shapiroone of the pageant’s producers, said he also wants Steve to return to the stage: “I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself.

Steve chalks up some of the blame for his mix-up to not rehearsing Friday or Saturday, and the winner being a last second decision.
