Horoscopes for the week of December 21st

Contrary to popular belief, I am not 100% strong, 24hours a day, 7 days a week.

I hope you don’t mind that I wrote this particular blog while feeling a bit cranky and under the weather. I will try not to let it show, and do my best to stick to some kind of positive holiday message. There will be edits of course, so that I don’t sound too “woe is me.” But truth be told, that is how I feel right now. While I do possess what I refer to as a “Toolkit for my Soul,” which contains all kinds of tools and rituals that help me to move past a funk (meditation, gratitude practices, spiritually thought provoking books, long walks, etc.); I think today, I will lean into my moodiness, and hope for the best. Contrary to the assumption of others, I am not 100% strong, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Despite my current state of mind, I have been reminding my clients to keep a toolkit for their soul by their side, especially as we inch closer to 2016. The holiday season is not always so jolly, especially for me, and nostalgia often turns into depression. Fortunately, I get better each year when I more intently do the things that uplift my spirit so that my inner foundation remains sturdy and in tack, and thus impenetrable to the outside world. A toolkit for your Soul contains whatever it is you can do to create a spark of energy that brings you peace, things like running, cooking, church-ing or family-ing. It is a purely self-centered act that makes you happy when life gets rough. If you collect enough “items” to fill your kit, you will have all that you need for proper soul sustenance. The holiday season is an opportune time to prepare your toolkit. What you put in is what will reliably sustain you over time.

The Winter Solstice this Tuesday will be followed by a Full Moon in Cancer on Friday, December 25th – Christmas Day. The Capricorn/Cancer axis of energy will be in effect, offering us a mix of grounding and centering, and nurturing and nourishing. These signs oppose one another on the Zodiacal wheel; while both have similar aims at providing and protecting, Cancer does so from an emotional stance while Capricorn is more pragmatic. This energy combined gives us permission to go easy on ourselves and still call a spade a spade. We can recognize a depressive thought for what it is, and continue to do what fills us with joy. We can experience frustration in an ongoing family dispute, and still shower our loved ones with love. The trick will be to not get caught up in one feeling or the other. Let a passing emotion or observation pass, and keep with the activities that bring serenity. This, dear friend, is my advice to you for the week (and in life).

Writing is also something I reach for in the toolkit for my Soul, and I am starting to feel much better now. Like I said above, today I will lean into my moodiness, and hope for the best. I did just that, and hope saw me through. Check your horoscopes below to see what’s in store this week ahead, and don’t forget to read for your Ascendant sign.

On the day you were born, all of the planets were positioned in the signs of the Zodiac – not just the Sun. To find out more about your full astrological make up, email Tracey for a personal Astrology reading at info@traceylrogers.com.

Aries: Home and work require your attention this week, Aries. If you don’t find a happy medium between the demands of both, you, personally, will suffer. A sense of structure and grounding must be established for the sake of career success. But first, you need to contend with some emotional barriers that are inhibiting you from stepping into a more prominent role – leader and an authority – professionally speaking. Most likely, what is needed most is confidence. Aim for more confidence. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.

Taurus: This week, you may be questioning how to stretch beyond what you know, in order to expand personal beliefs and philosophies. As a creature of habit and comfort, you prefer that life move at a steady and predictable pace. But I’m sure you would agree that the tried and true limits growth and development. Even you can’t deny, Taurus, that your own ideas have been greatly challenged over the years. It’s time to surrender to a new set of principles in preparation for 2016. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.

Gemini: You may find that what you are choosing to invest in – whether a business, a romantic relationship, or a financial merger – becomes more real at the time of the Full Moon on Friday. You will have a keen awareness of what you are giving up in order to commit to something or someone, and while there is no reason for you to be concerned (at least, nothing that I can see), it is OK to acknowledge the end of an important chapter, and the beginning of something new and different. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.

Cancer: The Full Moon this week falls in your sign, Cancer. No doubt, this may be an emotional time, especially since it is the holiday season. This does not at all mean that something bad is going to happen; on the contrary, you could feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the family and loved ones that make your life worthwhile. You would be wise to count your blessings, especially when it comes to the important connections that bring you joy. Grateful will be your buzzword this week. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.

Leo: No matter how showy, gregarious, and happy go lucky you can be, dear Leo, you instinctively know when to leave the spotlight and recharge your energy. You may feel especially nostalgic this week, and it will be the kind of feeling that gets you pumped for your work ahead in the New Year. So try to find a proper mind/body balance if you can. People will give you energy; that is for sure! But you will equally benefit from sleeping in a little later, or opting out of a big social holiday affair.  As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.

Virgo: It wouldn’t be too out of line for you to declare 2016 as your year to do what you want, be true to you, and live a life that is authentic. But first, you will have to leave behind outdated beliefs about who you ought to be, as well as the people and affiliations that no longer support your evolving spirit. An important connection or network will undergo a major shift, inspiring you to refocus your efforts on that which brings you pure joy. This is not selfish, dear Virgo. It is self-loving. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.

Libra: An important shift on the career front may see you entering the New Year feeling a little shaken. A project that has reached completion may give you a sense of relief. It is equally possible that a big question mark hangs over what happens next, professionally speaking. This week will be an opportune time to hold tight to what brings you comfort and security. This might be family or your personal space. It could also be your own emotional reserves that offer peace and inner calm. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.

Scorpio: It is possible that an important belief or philosophy shifts for you this week, courtesy of the Cancer Full Moon on Friday. It may be a longstanding principle that no longer supports a changing lifestyle. It could also be a spiritual ideology that fails to resonate. Whatever it is, a new train of thought will need to replace what is lost, and that can be found in everyday interactions in your immediate environment, or simply in a conversation with a close friend or relative. Be open. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.

Sagittarius: An important investment or merger will reach culmination this week. You may be ending a contract, or your affiliation in a longstanding business venture. It is equally possible that a relationship moves to a more committed stage. Intimate moments may fill your days as you learn to surrender to all that is unfolding beyond your control. Trust in the process will be key, especially since you stand to benefit the most. You may have to essentially give in, so that you might receive. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.

Capricorn: A Full Moon in your opposite sign may bring an important shift in an important relationship. You may come to realize that something is about to change, and while it might feel a little sad or overwhelming, your awareness of what is will help you to move through what might seem like a big transition. Go ahead and see things as they are, Capricorn. At the same time, don’t forget to acknowledge the feelings that bubble to the surface. It is safe to embrace every sentiment. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.

Aquarius: What you secretly need will come more prominently into focus as we reach the end of the year. You will be engaged in some pretty heavy self-reflection assessing what, and whom you wish to leave behind in 2015. Whether it’s a negative belief, a job that is no longer challenging, or a relationship that depletes your energy, something that takes up much of your time on a daily basis must shift so that you can refocus your real priorities. Go ahead and weed out what no longer fits. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.

Pisces: An important shift is in store with regards to a creative project, romance, or activity with children. As a result, your time and energy becomes more focused on group work and networking events. If you are looking to promote an artistic endeavor, it makes sense to call on who you know – it is time. On the flip side, if an important relationship is coming to an end, I’m sure you have plenty of friends who can set you up. Whatever unfolds, it is time to show others your true authentic self. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
