UPDATE:

It looks like Beyonce will not be in Cooper’s A Star Is Born remake. The a-list actor told E News! the role announcement is “just a rumor”. Adding, “But with that said, I would be honored obviously to work with her in any capacity.”

ORIGINAL STORY:

Beyoncé‘s dream of remaking A Star Is Born may once again become a reality as Bradley Cooper has signed on for the film.

Bey has been trying to get A Star Is Born off the ground for years but the project keeps hitting road blocks. Most recently, Clint Eastwood decided to drop out as director.

Now, according to Page Six, Bradley is ready to take on that role and helm the project. Supposedly, he’s been chatting with different producers to get more financial support for A Star Is Born.

And he plans to keep the diva on as his leading lady. There are whispers that Beyoncé has been taking acting classes so that she’s better prepared to take on “an iconic dramatic role.”

“Beyoncé is a go,” a source close to the project told Page Six. There’s no word on who may be playing opposite her, but Bradley is scouting more talent for the film. “He’s out to find the rest of the cast, but he may take another acting role [in the meantime].

The movie may not be ready to begin production until the end of 2016 at the earliest, but it’s more likely to start filming at the top of 2017. In that time he plans to take on a few more acting roles before diving into his director duties.

“He’s furiously making everything he can,” the insider said. Ideally, Bradley would like to take on a role that he can really get lost in.

Hopefully, we’ll also get Beyoncé‘s new album before she has to head to the set.
