Ahead of its Feb. 2 premiere, FX has released the first full trailer for its miniseries American Crime Story: The People Vs. O.J. Simpson.
The footage features a first extended look at the characters, including Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, Sterling K. Brown as Christopher Darden, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran, John Travolta as Simpson’s co-counsel Robert Shapiro; Connie Britton as Faye Resnick, David Schwimmer as Simpson’s attorney and confidant Robert Kardashian, and of course Cuba Gooding Jr. as Juice.
Based on the book The Run Of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson, this TV version tells the story of Simpson’s murder trial from the perspective of the lawyers. It explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the case and how a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt.
