Rev. Al Sharpton talks about President Obama’s criminal justice reforms efforts in the midst of his stance on “ban the box”, a bill that wouldn’t allow employers to ask about an applicant’s criminal history in the initial screening process.
“He’s dealing with ban the box while he’s dealing with police reform and you’ve got laryngitis from Republicans…in contrast to the silence by the Republicans, the President has made concrete steps. When he doesn’t do all we want we should talk about him, but when he does we ought to salute him for it,” Sharpton said.
