After being denied entry into a house party, police are reporting that three students were shot near Tennessee State University early Wednesday morning.

Fox 13.com reports:

Police say a large house party was held on Albion Street right across from TSU’s campus when 3 black men arrived and wanted to get in.

Officers say the men were turned away by the hosts, and shortly after they left, shots were fired outside of the party.

Police say they responded and found that 2 twenty-year old men and 1 nineteen-year old man had been shot.

One of the victims was taken to General Hospital by private car, but was later transported to Vanderbilt Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Another victim was taken to Centennial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and the last victim was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.

Officers say he is in very critical condition. Police say all three victims are students at Tennessee State University, Nashville State University, and Middle Tennessee State University.

Police are searching for three black male suspects.

The first suspect is described as 5′-9″,220 lbs. with dark complexion, a fade haircut, and wearing a grey hoodie with beige pants.

The second is described as 5′-11″,160 lbs. with a dark complexion, a dreadlocks hair style and wearing a purple hoodie.

The third suspect is wearing a green hoodie.

The incident is currently under investigation.
