In an exclusive tell-all to Vanity Fair, Rihanna talks about her bad girl reputation and upcoming album, R8.

But it was the mention of her relationship with Chris Brown and her thoughts on Rachel Dolezal, the former President of the Spokane chapter of the  NAACP that was exposed for pretending to be black, that have people talking.

On Rachel Dolezal:

“I think she was a bit of a hero, because she kind of flipped on society a little bit. Is it such a horrible thing that she pretended to be black? Black is a great thing, and I think she legit changed people’s perspective a bit and woke people up.”

On trying to save Chris Brown:

“Maybe I’m the person who’s almost the guardian angel to this person, to be there when they’re not strong enough, when they’re not understanding the world, when they just need someone to encourage them in a positive way and say the right thing. I was very protective of him. I felt that people didn’t understand him.”

Are you happy that the two went their separate ways?
