Hollywood funny man Kevin Hart has been announced as the first guest on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Trevor Noah, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Ride Along actor will be the comedian’s first guest when the show premieres on Monday, Sept. 28 at 11:00 p.m. ET. The South African comic was billed as the new host of The Daily Show earlier this year following Jon Stewart’s departure from the Comedy Central staple.

Noah promised viewers that the show’s rhetoric won’t change, but the style will be all his own.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

“I don’t strive to be offensive. That’s not who I am as a person or a performer. But you can’t control that,” he said, carefully echoing his past comments that he didn’t wish to be judged on years-old jokes. “I knew that there would be some sort of backlash. … What’s interesting, and I’m happy about this, is that you saw the conversation go from ‘Is this guy offensive?’ to ‘What is comedy?’ That’s a better conversation. And Comedy Central, fortunately, hasn’t limited me to 140 characters.”

Some of Noah’s upcoming guests include founder and CEO of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe, on Sept. 29, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Sept. 30, and musician Ryan Adams on Oct. 1.

Hart is working on a number of projects, including a sequel to his comedy with Ice Cube (Ride Along 2), the pseudo-reality series Real Husbands Of Hollywood, and the animated film, The Secret Life of Pets.
