Claims involving Rick Ross stealing his 9-year-old son’s car apparently have no weight.
According to TMZ, the MMG rapper’s baby mama Tia Kemp is the one making the claims as she put Ross on blast early Thursday (Sept. 10) on Instagram with a post displaying a picture of their son standing next to the vehicle, a BMW B7.
“Rick Ross takes the car from his Son Again!!” the post said.
Despite Kemp’s claims, a source close to Ross confirmed to TMZ that although the entertainer took the car, it’s not theft because Ross paid for the vehicle. Although Ross lets Kemp use the car to drive their son to school, the site notes that the vehicle has always been in Ross’ name.
Kemp has spent a good amount of time posting pictures of Ross with rap heavyweights Jay Z, Diddy, T.I., and French Montana, along with LeBron James, in an effort to persuade them to convince the “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast)” MC to return the car.
Assessing the reason for Ross taking the car, TMZ mentioned that it received word that Kemp’s beef with the rhymesayer was over his new girl, Lira Mercer.
